A Scots contestant managed to take home £5,000 on The Chase after beating out Mark 'The Beast' Labbett.
On Tuesday nights instalment of the hit ITV game show, host Bradley Walsh welcomed four brand new hopefuls Keith, Carole, Molly and Charlie to beat The Chaser. Keith, 59, from Lothian was first up and managed to score an impressive £6,000 in the cash builder.
The clinical phycologist also revealed in his spare time he performs as a pantomime dame and has done for the last 12 years. Host Bradley asked Keith if there was any particular time of dame he enjoyed playing best, but the Scots quizzer said he usually plays the same character and described himself as a 'one trick pony'.
Keith added that with his winnings, he hopes to travel to Vietnam or China with his wife.
In a surprising turn of events, every member of the team managed to make it back for the final chase against The Beast, where they beat him with seconds to spare.
Despite all four contestants making it through to the final for their face-off with chaser Mark Labbett, fans at home were convinced that the game wasn't going to go in their favour. With £20,000 in the kitty, the team only managed to answer seventeen questions between them in the final round.
The Beast ended up getting several questions wrong during his set of questions, leaving host Bradley and the team absolutely buzzing with their win.
After their victory, fans took to Twitter to congratulate the team for their amazing win. One said: "That was a brilliant game The Beast rushing to answer a question that hasn’t even been asked yet was hilarious! #TheChase."
Another penned: "#TheChase amazing game today congratulations team on a fantastic performance." A third added: "Once again on ITVs #TheChase @MarkLabbett put his foot in his mouth by saying he was going to make the final contestant look like a proper Charlie."
"Great run even with not many pushbacks. The full house helped #TheChase," a fourth tweeted.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on STV.
