Scottish singing sensation Nathan Evans has shared the nerve-wracking birth experience he and his wife Holly have endured so far, as fans eagerly await an update on the birth of their bundle of joy.
The TikTok sea shanty singer, from Lanarkshire, took to social media to share the stressful dash he had to get home on time for his wife going into labour with his 209k Instagram followers.
Nathan wrote: "As some of you would have seen, I’ve been in London this past week and then headed straight to Berlin for the weekend where I was filming a certain little music video…
"The plan was to shoot for two days and then head home on Monday night to spend the rest of Holly’s pregnancy with her at home getting everything ready for the little man coming, but sometimes life throws you a little curve ball to keep you on your toes."
Delving further into the chaotic rush to catch the memorable moment, Nathan added: " [at] 8pm, Saturday night, while I’m on the rooftop of the Universal building in the middle of Berlin, my phone starts going absolutely NUTS.
"So after shooting our take I grab my phone to see what all the commotion is about and there it is, the curveball, a text from Holly saying nothing but 'My waters have broke' So it’s safe to assume that my a*** completely caved in."
He continued: "It’s been 32 hours of no sleep, constantly on the move and trying to get home and make sure that I didn’t miss anything, and thank god I can say that I’ve made it in time.
"There’s not long left now, he should be welcomed into this world at any point in the next wee while, but I can’t believe I’ve actually made it. Had to cut the shoot short and sacrifice some beloved beauty sleep, but I’d have ran it home to make sure I was here in time."
Nathan concluded his social media post by updating fans that Holly and the "little man" are "right as rain" and the happy couple have said its "just a waiting game," as he promises to inform his followers to come back with an update soon when he can "officially call myself Daddy Evans!"
The 28-year-old announced the lovely news that the couple were expecting in December last year during the festive period in an adorable snap, as they sported matching Christmas pyjamas.
The musician and his wife couldn't leave their dog out of the announcement post too, writing: "Swipe right for a doggo disaster," including snaps of their adorable Labrador.
Friends of the couple soon flooded the comments of the stars post congratulating him and Holly.
