A sex attacker who first struck when he was 14 has finally been jailed 26 years later.
Lee Duncan, 41, was locked up for six years after being found guilty by a jury of attacking an eight-year-old girl.
He was found guilty at the High Court in Dundee of three charges of sexual offending involving two children between 1996 and 2002.
Sentencing him, judge Lady Wade said: “The most serious [offence] involved a girl who was eight or nine and you were 14 or 15. You continued to abuse her until 2002.
“Your offending has had a profound effect on them.”
David Moggach, defending, said Duncan, of Aberchirder, Banffshire, continued to deny guilt.
