Scots rail services disrupted after casualty found on tracks near station

A person has tragically died near a railway line in North Lanarkshire.

The alarm was raised shortly before 8am on Tuesday, November 29 when officers were alerted to a casualty on the tracks at Wishaw train station.

Emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, scrambled to the scene but sadly, the individual was pronounced dead upon arrival.
