Train services in the Central Belt have been disrupted today after a casualty was found on the tracks of an Edinburgh station.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at Edinburgh Gateway station at around 12.31pm on Monday, February 21.
Paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service remain in attendance as the person is being treated at the location in the west of the city.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
However, services running through the station will be cancelled, delayed or revised until around 2.30pm.
One of the routes affected is the 12.58pm Edinburgh to Arbroath train due at 2.49pm which has been cancelled.
Another is the 12.37pm Edinburgh train which was set to arrive in Perth at 1.55pm which has also been cancelled.
Likewise, the 2:38pm Edinburgh to Perth service due at 3:56pm will be cancelled due to the incident.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: "Train services running through this station will be cancelled, delayed or revised.
"Disruption is expected to last until around 14:30 today."
A British Transport Police spokesperson told the Daily Record: "British Transport Police were called to Edinburgh Gateway station at 12.31pm today (21 February) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics are also in attendance, and a person is being treated at the scene for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
