This is the hilarious moment a Scots radio presenter vanished halfway through a live radio show leaving his colleagues baffled as to where he gone. It happened during GO Radio's Breakfast Show on Tuesday morning when Grado went to collect coffee from a delivery driver.
He along with colleague Crofty ordered hot drinks from a nearby Costa to get them through the last two and half hours of their stint. Gardo was sent to greet the Uber Eats person at the studio's front door in Glasgow, but realised he wasn't there.
It turned out the driver had got lost, so the presenter decided to jump in his car without alerting anyone to track the person down, breaking one of the biggest rules in radio, and that's not to leave a studio when broadcasting live.
A video posted on the radio station's Twitter page which shows the drama unfolding. Grado can be heard on the phone saying: "I'm in Lidl," to which Crofty replies: "What do you mean you're in Lidl? We're doing a radio show."
Grado informed him: "I'm trying to find the Uber Eats driver, he's not got maps working on his phone, so I phoned him and he said he's at Lidl. But the problem is I've got myself stuck in a wee bit of traffic."
The studio then erupts into laughter and Crofty said: "See when I said go meet the guy... I meant at the carpark, not to jump in your car and drive to Lidl."
Grado left the building at 8:31am and returned around 40 minutes later, with Crofty looking less than impressed.
Thankfully he had the coffee with him.
