A Scots pensioner has gone missing overnight from his home in Falkirk, with his family now growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
William Hogg was last seen early on Wednesday, October 5 when he left his home address in the College Crescent area, but did not return.
The 75-year-old has failed to make contact with loved ones since, prompting officers to launch an urgent search in a bid to trace him. So far, broad efforts including reviewing of CCTV footage have been unsuccessful.
William is described as being approximately 5’6” tall with a muscular build. He has grey hair, a moustache and tattoos, one on each forearm. He also wears glasses.
He was wearing a navy-coloured bomber jacket, jeans and black and white trainers when he vanished.
Cops are now asking for the public's help as part of their ongoing search efforts, and are asking anyone with any information on William's whereabouts, or who may have any insight into his disappearance, to come forward.
Sergeant Thomas Gorman of Falkirk Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of William who has not been seen since Wednesday morning. This is an extremely worrying time for his family and friends.
“Officers are carrying out extensive searches and reviewing CCTV in an effort to trace him but there have been no confirmed sightings of him.
“I would urge anyone who has any information on William’s whereabouts or who has had contact with him to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting 3507 of 5 October 2022.”
