A Scots nurse has told of her panic after her son was rushed to hospital with a serious infection whilst she was abroad on holiday.
Beverley Voukelatos, 50, was in Greece with her husband Stathis and daughter Ariana when she took a call from her 18-year-old son Elias, who was at home and feeling increasingly unwell.
The Glasgow Queen Elizabeth University nurse said she knew it was serious when Elias told her his symptoms and she feared the infection was spreading through his body.
