A Scots mum who gave birth to her baby boy in her bedroom has thanked hero ambulance staff who arrived just in time to deliver him.
Laura Jackson, from Rutherglen, went into labour at home on August 30, just hours after she had attended hospital but was only 1cm dilated. The 30-year-old had no time to get to hospital so her partner Liam Barrett, 30, called 999 for an ambulance. The crew arrived and within 20 minutes Laura had given birth to baby Blaine.
First time mum Laura, who described the incident as 'terrifying', has now thanked staff from the Scottish Ambulance Service who helped her through the ordeal.
