Police have launched an appeal for information after a man was attacked by a gang of yobs while walking to the library.
The assault took place in the Hawthorn Street area of Clydebank at around 7.30pm last night when the 38-year-old man was approached by a group of male youngsters.
The victim sustained a serious arm injury and is being treated in hospital.
Officers are now urging witnesses or anyone who may have information on the incident to come forward.
Detective Constable Imran Abuzar, of Clydebank CID, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened or now those involved to get in touch.
“If you have private CCTV or where driving in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage that might help with our investigation then please call us.”
