Maya Jama is back in the Spanish villa as series 10 of Love Island kicks off, and the summer of love is in full swing as a new batch of singletons hopes to find their 'one' by the firepit this year.
But this year there was a big twist, as we previously reported the couple's fate would be in the hands of the public to pair the couples up on this summer series, where usually the islanders would get to pick who first catches their eye.
And it was a shock to ITV viewers who tuned in when this year's Scottish contestant Ella Thomas from Glasgow actually seemingly met her partner Tyrique Hyde previously in London, although the 24-year-old professional footballer from Essex seemed confused.
Model Ella, 23, said to Tyrique as he approached her when Maya Jama announced the public had chosen them to couple up: "Do you remember we met before?"
As a confused Tyrique responded with: "When?" as he looked confused before asking "where?"
Ella said: "It wasn't even that long ago in London, we will talk later."
And it wasn't long before Love Island fans took to Twitter desperate to know more about the pair seemingly already knowing each other, as they hinted there could be some tea spilt.
One person wrote: "NOT TYRIQUE AND ELLA KNOWING EACH OTHER FROM LONDON LMFAOO we got our first case, #LoveIsland."
Someone else added: "Ella and Tariq met in Shoreditch #LoveIsland," as they added laughing emojis.
"Spill the tea Ella it sounds hot #LoveIsland," penned another ITV viewer as they took to Twitter following the mysterious bombshell news.
A fourth added: "TYRIQUE AND ELLA ABOUT TO BE SOME SHII #LoveIsland."
"Tyrique does give off fuckboy vibes especially the exchange he had with Ella when they got coupled up #LoveIsland," wrote someone else.
"I met him before, physically he is my type I met him out in London but I am not being funny he is pretending he doesn't remember," Ella said as the girls chatted about who they had been matched with.
Later on, Tyrique tried to say he does actually remember her but because she had "different hair" when they met he didn't realise who she was before suddenly recognising her.
Tyrique added: "You look better, I mean you looked good then but with your new hair you look really good."
Meanwhile, at the end of the show host Maya Jama returned to deliver the real twist for this year's series kicking off, as new bombshell Zachariah Noble entered the villa following a game of 'dares'.
The girls were invited by Maya to step forward in the "ultimate dare" if they weren't 100% happy with the couple the public has chosen for them - and both Jess Harding and Ruchee Gurung stepped forward before the first bombshell arrived.
Their partners, George Fensom and Mehdi Edno, were left in the dark as they await to see what will happen with the latest shock twist.
Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX each weeknight at 9pm.
