Scots passengers have been left fuming after facing lengthy queues in the cold outside Edinburgh Airport.

Early morning travellers described the scenes as 'chaotic' as more than one hundred holidaymakers stood outside clutching their suitcases on Monday morning.

A spokesperson for Edinburgh Airport said busy periods were expected in summer months but staff had worked "incredibly hard" to get passengers through.
