A drug dealer who hid part of his stash in a Lurpak butter container has been ordered to carry out 180 hours unpaid community work.
Steven Stark, 37, was caught with cannabis worth £5,200 spread around his flat when it was raided by detectives in December 2020.
The officers discovered two ice cream tubs stuffed with £640 and £850 of the drug and a further £50 worth inside the empty Lurpak tub.
Fiscal depute Lynn Mannion told Dundee Sheriff Court that bargain store worker Stark was in his bedroom when the officers arrived to search his property.
She said cannabis was found hidden in eight different locations within his flat, along with bundles of cash amounting to around £1,000 in total.
Evidence was recovered that led to Stark, Adamson Court, Dundee, admitting dealing the drug from his home between November 26 and December 15 2020. Solicitor Larry Flynn, defending, said Stark had lost his job as a result of the case and said his client had "drifted" into drug dealing.
Sheriff Alistair Carmichael said: "This is a serious matter. You were involved in supplying cannabis and there was a reasonable amount here."
Stark was placed under social work supervision for 18 months and under a restriction of liberty order for a period of four months.
