Scottish DJ Ewan McVicar shared the emotional moment he brought his mum on stage during his performance at Creamfields festival.
The Ayr-born DJ was playing in the festival's 'Steel Yard' on Sunday night when he invited his "proud mum" on stage. The pair shared a hug and kiss before dancing around behind the decks arm in arm.
The duo even held up a Scotland flag as they jumped up and down as the DJ's hit single 'Tell Me Something Good ', which spent weeks in the UK charts, was played to thousands of people in the crowd.
Taking to social media after the festival, Ewan thanked his fans for their support and revealed he had suffered a concussion after his performance.
In a video posted to Twitter, he said: "Oh my god, I don't even know what to say thanks everyone. I f****** banged my head on the scaffolding after my set and got a concussion so I wasn't replying to everyone.
"I canny believe what we done yesterday. It's been absolutely mental. So special." He continued: "I went to Creamfields for the first time in 2012, and it was ten years to the day that I played in the Steel Yard. That's why it was so emotional to me. I've been going as a punter for 5 years to Creamfields.
"It was so f***** good. so good. Thanks so much everyone. The response has been mental."
This milestone performance comes after Ewan released his latest EP, inspired by his Scottish roots and hometown in Ayrshire. He released a two track EP entitled 'Heather Park' - named after the street of his first family home in Kincaidston.
The release dubbed by the star as "one of my favourite" projects features a six minute music video filmed in the Ayr estate, with touching home family videos of Ewan growing up - which the star admits have made him cry.
The video comes with a moving message from Ewan, who explains his childhood memories sharing one room with his three brothers, playing football and taking a "'maddie' oot the back door" and "rattling my toy snake off the whirligig."
The DJ's message reads: "‘Heather Park’ was the street I grew up on and where I have so many cherished memories. The video represents how far my family and I have come from three brothers (Neill, Ewan, Rory) in the one room scrapping, laughing, crying, my maw, Briso and papa taking care of us all.
"Playing football out the back, me taking a ‘maddie’ oot the back door and rattling my toy snake off the whirligig. It represents that nostalgic feeling of a real family home and a world away from the real world. So glad it is finally here and I get to share this beautiful video with everyone. I’ve cried every time I've watched it so it’s like Marley & Me now."
