Scots diners' horror as man yells at stranger's child in row over iPad

Staff at a Scots McDonald's had to step in after a man began screaming in a child's face in a row over an iPad.

Shocked diners at the fast food eatery in Edinburgh's Corstorphine Retail Park looked on as the grown adult began yelling at the young boy.

Edinburgh Live reports the incident was provoked after the youngster tried to use one of the restaurant's digital tablets, which the man's daughter was already using.

An eyewitness suggested three managers intervened to help the young boy and his mother, before asking the man to leave.

The altercation unfolded at around 6.30pm on Sunday February 26, and ended with staff looking after the woman and her son.

The restaurant chain has since confirmed the man left without any further incident.

A spokesperson for McDonald's said: "The restaurant team confirmed there was an altercation between the two customers.

"The team intervened to avoid any further escalation, offer assistance and asked the gentleman to leave (which he did)."
