Scots dad who choked on takeaway hasn't eaten solid meal in five months after diagnosis

A Scots dad who is battling inoperable oesophageal cancer has been unable to eat a solid meal in five months after losing his ability to swallow.

Donald Stewart, 44, was gobbling down a takeaway on his break at work when he realised food was getting stuck last October.

The dad-of-two, from Glasgow, thought he just needed to slow down but weeks went by and the problem gradually got worse before he was only able to eat soft or mashed foods.
