Cops are appealing for information after a man acted inappropriately towards a teenage girl in Livingston.
Officers say the 17-year-old girl was standing a bus stop in Knightsridge East Road near to the vennel into Nicholson Way at around 6.30pm on Wednesday July 20 when the incident happened. The man approached the girl, engaged her in conversation and acted inappropriately.
Police Sergeant Andy Meikle, from Livingston Police Station, said: “The girl was physically unhurt by the incident, but extremely upset and we are providing support to her. Enquiries are ongoing to trace this man who has been described as aged between 17-20 years-old, about 5'7 to 5'8 in height with blue eyes.
"He is of slim build, with short light auburn or strawberry blonde hair. He was wearing clear reading glasses with a black rectangular frame, a black t-shirt with a white logo in the middle of the chest and three small vertical white circles on the rear neck line, with black shorts, Nike trainers which were mainly white and blue with a black tick on the side.
“I would particularly appeal to two female dog walkers to come forward. They are described as being late 20s or early 30s in age. One of them had black hair and the other had blonde hair.
"One was wearing a red top with white stripes both wearing shorts and trainers, walking a small grey dog.
“I would also appeal to motorists who were in the area at time to contact us as soon as possible, especially if have dash-cam footage you may have captured something that could assist our investigation.
“Anyone with information that could assist our investigation, should call 101 quoting 0160 of Thursday, 21 July, 2022.”
