Scots Asda worker told breastfeeding mum to 'cover up' as supermarket issues apology

A young Scots mum was told to "cover up" by an Asda employee while she was breastfeeding her baby in store.

The supermarket giant has now apologised to Gemma Balmbra after the shocking incident left her feeling intimidated when a member of staff snapped at her as she tried to settle her six-week-old son.

The 26-year-old was also with her five-year-old son while shopping in the Straiton superstore on Monday as both of her children became unsettled as she arrived at the checkout.
