Scots animal shelter seeking new home for pup pals who come as a package

A Scottish animal shelter is seeking a new home for two adventurous dogs who go everywhere together – including as adopted furry friends.

Best pals Jane and Harvey, a Border Collie and a crossbreed respectively, are currently under the care of the Dogs Trust at its West Calder base, which is looking to give them a new home. Edinburgh Live says that Jane, 10, and Harvey, 12, are a little calmer in their autumnal years.

The West Lothian-based shelter says that, as a result of their temperament, they are suited to living in families with kids aged 14 and up. It says Jane is a "gentle girl who enjoys getting a fuss", while Harvey is "still full of fun" despite his advancing age.

A profile prepared by the Dogs Trust said of Jane: "She enjoys her walks where she can do some sniffing and explore. She is happy to hop into the car to go on new adventures!

"Jane loves her toys and is happy to entertain herself playing with her favourite soft teddy bear. She would love to have a garden where she can chase her teddy and potter around."

The charity added of Harvey: "Harvey is a friendly boy who is always happy to see you. He is an older boy but he is still full of fun and loves getting out on his walks where he can have a good sniff and do some exploring.

"Harvey is happy to jump into the car to go on new adventures. Harvey loves his grub and will show off a trick or two for a tasty treat.

"Jane and Harvey are the very best of friends and love spending their time together. They are both happy to be left home alone for a couple hours."
