TRAIN services are being delayed and cancelled as Storm Bert hits Scotland.
Poor weather is expected across much of the country this weekend, as the Met Office has issued yellow and amber weather warnings for snow, rain and wind.
ScotRail has warned passengers of disruption to its services, with a number of routes already being delayed or cancelled as speed restrictions have been put in place.
As of 8am on Saturday morning, the following services are affected:
- Services between Queen Street and Oban will start/terminate at Crianlarich (although services will still run between Queen Street and Mallaig
- Aberdeen - Inverness services: Delayed
- Aberdeen - Inverurie services: Suspended from 1200
- Inverness - Elgin services: Suspended from 1200
- Inverness - Wick services: Delayed and will not call at Thurso
- Inverness - Kyle of Lochalash services: Operating normally
- Glasgow Central to Newcastle/Carlisle via Dumfries: Terminate and start from Dumfries
- Glasgow Central to Girvan/Stranraer via Kilmarnock:Various alterations and delays
