ScotRail services disrupted after person 'hit by train'

SOME ScotRail services have been disrupted after a person was "hit by a train".

The rail operator revealed at around 6.30pm on Tuesday that services running via Lenzie and Larbert are subject to cancellation.

Emergency services are currently in the area where the person was hit.

Ticket acceptance is now in place with Midland Bluebird buses 1, 38, 38X, 51 and 52.

Replacement buses have been requested for Glasgow Queen Street, Stirling and Edinburgh.

While the line heading toward Glasgow Queen Street is now open, many services will be out of position, meaning delays are still to be expected.

A statement from ScotRail said: “Due to emergency services dealing with an incident, services via Lenzie and Larbert will be subject to cancellation at this time.

“We will provide a further update once we have more information.”
