PEOPLE travelling between Port Glasgow and Wemyss Bay are facing disruption following reports of a person who "has been struck by a train".
In a post on its Twitter account, ScotRail said: “Sadly, a person has been struck by a train between Port Glasgow and Wemyss Bay.
"This means we can't run trains as the line is currently blocked. We're working closely with the emergency services to get the line reopened, but we've no estimate for this at present."
A representative of ScotRail on Twitter updated the public in saying that the 906 and 901 bus services are now taking train tickets as well.
They wrote: "UPDATE: Ticket acceptance is now in place with McGill’s Buses on 906 and 901 services. Just show your valid ticket or Smartcard to the driver when you board the bus."
