ScotRail's 'draconian' ban on alcohol should be scrapped, the Scottish Tories claim.
Drinking alcohol on trains and at stations was banned during the Covid-19 pandemic. While other restrictions have since been relaxed, this rule remains in place. ScotRail chiefs say the move will be brought to the table as part of the Scottih Government's 'national conversation' on rail.
Transport Minister Jenny Gilruth stressed it was an opportunity to reach out to members of the public and staff. Tory transport spokesperson Graham Simpson thinks the Government should call time on the restriction on booze.
