SCOTRAIL has called on fans to “plan ahead” for Wednesday’s Ukraine vs Scotland World Cup play-off match after a third of services were cut as part of a new temporary timetable.

The operator is facing a driver shortage amid a pay dispute leading to staff refusing to work on rest days – which has resulted in hundreds of services being axed to offer customers more “certainty”.
