ScotRail has issued a reminder to those living in Edinburgh that if they are job hunting, they could be able to claim two free return tickets to help them get to their interview and secure a job.
In addition to this, people may also be able to claim a free season ticket after they have secured a job.
In a tweet about the scheme, ScotRail said: "If you're out of work, we're offering two free return tickets per month to help you get to job interviews.

"Once you get a job, we'll help you on your way with a free season ticket for a month as well."
The initiative has been in place for a while now and is available to those seeking employment. Jobseekers looking to benefit from the scheme will receive authorisation documentation from the JobCentre which they then redeem for tickets at a ScotRail ticket office.
Discussing the scheme further in their sustainability report 2021, ScotRail explained: "Travelling to an interview can often be a barrier to returning to work, which is why we launched the jobseekers free travel initiative.
"By helping with this cost, we hope to be able to support people back into work and grow Scotland’s economy. The initiative provides jobseekers two free return journeys per month in exchange for attending an interview, as well as a free ScotRail travel ticket for the first month of employment.
"Since 2017, 121 Day Trip tickets to interviews, and 1,252 Monthly Passes have been issued. This is a gift equivalent to over£131,000, removing the financial burden of starting a new job."
James Ledgerwood, ScotRail Head of Economic Development & Communities, told Edinburgh Live: “The cost of attending an interview and, if successful, the first few weeks of employment can have a big impact on people trying to return to work.
“This initiative removes the potential worry of these costs, and hopefully makes it easier for jobseekers to secure employment. This benefits both the individual and Scotland’s wider economy.”
To find out more information and whether you are eligible, you are advised by ScotRail to contact your local Job Centre.
