SCOTRAIL has issued a warning ahead of an iconic rock band's gig in Glasgow next week.
Foo Fighters are set to perform at Hampden Park in the Southside on Monday, June 17.
Ahead of the event, the rail firm is urging fans to allow extra time for travel as trains to and from the city centre are expected to be more popular than normal.
They are also advising concertgoers to plan their journeys and buy their train tickets in advance.
On top of that, ScotRail has said extra services will be added to and from Glasgow Central for the gig.
The travel company will be adding as many trains as possible from Central Station to Mount Florida - the closest to the venue.
Additional late-night services have also been announced, helping as many fans as possible return to Glasgow Central by train.
Before and after the concert, extra rail staff will be on hand at key stations to help customers as well.
Meanwhile, ScotRail is also urging travellers that carrying and drinking alcohol on trains and at stations is prohibited.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail customer operations director, said: “We’re looking forward to helping music fans travel by train to see the Foo Fighters in concert at Hampden Park on Monday night.
“We’re adding more services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida to help fans travel to and from the event.
“Our advice to customers is to allow extra time for travel as trains are likely to be more popular than normal on Monday evening.
"Buying return tickets before you board will help your journey run smoothly.”
