ScotRail workers that are members of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) will pause their industrial action as a vote takes place on an improved pay offer.
The rail operator stated that they had met with RMT representatives on Wednesday November 9 to try to overcome the ongoing dispute over pay.
As a result, RMT agreed to put an improved offer to their members for a vote, which will mean that the current overtime ban and proposed strike action will be suspended until an outcome is reached from the referendum.

ScotRail say that their improved offer will include a rise from £500 to £750 for acceptance of technology consolidated into basic pay - this is on top of the five per cent basic increase.
