Scotland striker Che Adams looks set for a return to England after turning 30 this week, with Torino revealing they will hold talks with him about his future.

The former Southampton star was in Steve Clarke's World Cup squad as Scotland failed to qualify yet again from the group stages.

Adams started against Haiti and Morocco, but was only used as a last-minute substitute in the final game against Brazil, with Scotland already 3-0 down.

He netted a respectable eight goals last season for Torino, but could be set for a return to English football, with the Serie A club unlikely to stand in his way.

The club's sporting director, Gianluca Petrachi, said: "When Che returns from his break after the World Cup, we are ready to talk to him.

"We need to find out what he wants to do. I won't hide the fact that in January I spoke to him because there had been a transfer enquiry, and he told me that if I asked him to stay, he would be happy to stay.

"But we will meet again to see if he still feels the same way now."
