France can take another step closer to a Six Nations Grand Slam on Saturday as they face Scotland at Murrayfield in a top of the table clash.
Les Bleus have been head and shoulders above the competition so far this season. They are the only team still unbeaten, and lead the standings by four points ahead of this, their penultimate match.
They batted Italy aside before the fallow week break having previously dispatched Wales and Ireland, conceding just 34 points in the process. With a first Grand Slam since 2022 now just 160 minutes away, they will be keen to inflict similar misery on the Tartan Army.
The results of this enigmatic Scotland team make for interesting reading. They were beaten away at Italy on opening day and brushed with disaster as they edged an improved Wales by just three points before the fallow week, with those results coming either side of a swashbuckling Calcutta Cup defeat of England.
Gregor Robertson’s side seem willing and able to rise to a challenge, though, and will enjoy the backing of their raucous home support as they look to upset one of world rugby’s most in-form sides.
Here’s everything you need to know about the match...

Scotland vs France team news
Gregor Townsend will need his side to be at their best if they are to have a hope of beating France, and, luckily, he has near enough a full complement to pick from.
Loosehead prop Nathan McBeth is expected to make way after he was hooked in the first-half against Wales, and there is a decision to be made as to who starts at hooker. Ewan Ashman, George Turner and Dave Cherry have all taken turns there so far this tournament, but none have been entirely convincing.

A big call must be made in the back three, too, with Jamie Dobie set to miss the remainder of the tournament with a shoulder injury. Kyle Steyn will emerge as a favourite, with his defensive prowess likely necessary against Louis Bielle-Barry.
Darcy Graham and Duhan van der Merwe are also in the running, though the latter was dropped from the squad for the Calcutta Cup due to his dubious form. The same is true of Blair Kinghorn.
Mainstays Finn Russell, Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones are all expected to reprise their roles.

For France, there is some concern surrounding fly-half Matthieu Jalibert, who missed the defeat of Italy with a calf injury. Reports from RMC Sport suggest he is available for selection, though.
There is further positive news surrounding Bordeaux centres Yoram Moefana and Nicolas Depoortere, both of whom are reportedly fit again having recovered from knee and calf injuries, respectively.

Scotland vs France prediction
France’s reported injury worries left Scotland with a brief glimmer of hope ahead of this match.
But, with reports emerging that Fabien Galthie’s squad is near enough at full strength, Gregor Robertson finds himself facing a considerable test.
Scotland have shone at points of this tournament and flattered to deceive at others, but the margin for error against this France side will be nil.
Denying Les Bleus their Grand Slam may prove too tall an order.
