Scotland will play their final Nations League match against Ukraine in the Polish city of Krakow after the war-torn nation told UEFA their decision just 41 days before the game.
Steve Clarke's side face the Ukrainians again next month, after they knocked Scotland out of the World Cup by winning the delayed Hampden semi-final,play-off in June. UEFA rules state nations must reveal their stadiums for Nations League qualifiers 120 days before the match takes place, but European football's governing body were still waiting for an answer from the Ukrainian FA about where they intend to host the Scots for the final qualifie.
There had been previous suggestions the game would be played in either Warsaw or Lodz, but they have confirmed now the match will take place in the southern Polish city of Krakow, at the Stadion Cracovii Jozefa Piłsudskiego - the home of Cracovia. The Ukrainian FA stated: "This stadium is home to the local football club of the same name, which plays in the elite division of the Polish championship and is able to accommodate more than 15,000 spectators in its stands."
Ukraine have used the venue once before as a 'home ground' six years ago in a World Cup qualifier against Kosovo because of a row over Ukraine's refusal to recognise the Balkan country's independence. The 'hosts' won 3-0, but the attendance for the game was just 999.
However, there is likely to be considerably more than when Scotland end their Nations League campaign there next month after games at home to Ukraine and Ireland too.
