Scotland under-21s boss Tony Docherty has labelled "really talented" Kyle Glasgow as a perfect advert for the co-operation loan system.
The Rangers youngster, 16, has made Docherty's first squad and has been fast-tracked into the under-21s following a flourishing start to life at Alloa Athletic on a co-operation loan.
The attacking midfielder, who has four caps at under-17s level, has played for the Wasps seven times in League One and four in the Premier Sports Cup, as well as appearing for Rangers B in the KDM Trophy.
Docherty revealed he has spoken to Derek McInnes about the teen's development and feels he is an early example of how the new co-operation system works.

He said: “Kyle’s a really good example of how the co-operation loans have worked.
“We are very much getting after the Premiership in terms of getting more under 21 players minutes.
“But we need to give real credit to the co-operation loans that are working at the Championship level and underneath.
“I’ve spoken to Derek McInnes and staff at the club about how well he’s doing.
“It’s important for young players that show that high potential to then go out and get minutes in a competitive environment in men‘s football.
“That’s what he’s doing. I’ve seen him a couple of times and he’s dealing with real football.
“He’s honed his skills in the development phase and he’s a really talented boy.
“Him stepping up to us in the under-21s is a reward. It also helps us put out the message that if that’s the pathway you’re taking and you’re excelling, you’ll attract attention and you’ll get in squads.”
