Scotland to be hit by more heavy rain and floods as Met Office issues weather warning

Following a weekend of torrential wet weather, forecasters have warned that more is on the way.

The Met Office have issued another yellow rain warning on Tuesday, November 22, for heavy rainfall of up to 25mm to hit the northeast and the Northern Isles.

Rain is expected to begin this afternoon and last until later tonight. Road saturation from previous conditions may result in some localised flooding, particularly on low-lying roads.

Elsewhere, blustery showers and coastal gales are to hit the southwest, but will gradually ease as the day goes on. Many parts of the country will experience cloudy conditions.

Here's everything you should know about the Met Office warning, including areas affected and how long it will last.
