Scotland to be battered by heavy snow next week with up to 20 inches expected

Scotland is expected to be battered by heavy snowfall next week - with up to 20 inches expected in northern parts of the country.

WXCHARTS has forecast snow to land in most parts of the country from midday on next Thursday.

The wintry flurries are then expected to worsen during the early hours of Saturday morning, with the north of Scotland seeing the worst of the conditions.
