Scots mum who took up weightlifting to help disabled daughter in bid to become world's strongest woman

An inspirational mum who took up weightlifting to help her child is targeting success on the global stage after being crowned the UK’s strongest woman.

Laura Baxter took up weightlifting in 2019 to be stronger for daughter Kaylin, who has spina bifida.

Three years later, she’s twice claimed the title of Scotland’s Strongest Woman as well as clinching the UK title and has dreams of taking on the very best in the world.
