Scotland’s Education Secretary has confirmed the country’s controversial exams body will be abolished.
Shirley-Anne Somerville said the SQA would be replaced while also announcing the creation of a new inspectorate.
The SQA has been criticised on a range of fronts for its performance, particularly during the pandemic.
