The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning as parts of Scotland are set to get battered with heavy rain.
The forecaster has warned that eastern parts of the country could be lashed with up to 100mm of rainfall on Thursday. Conditions are predicted to start from 3pm and will clear up on Friday at 6pm.
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded resulting in damage to some buildings. Drivers are urged to take caution on the road as wet conditions could lead to "difficult" driving.
The Met Office said: "Conditions will be wetting up through Thursday with a steady stream of showers followed by persistent rainfall later Thursday, continuing on Friday.
"Rainfall building up across the high ground of eastern Scotland with 50 to 70 mm expected and up to 100 mm possible across the hills of Angus and Aberdeenshire. Rain then dying out later on Friday."
The far northeast of Scotland will be blown with "severe" gales on Tuesday, November 16, with rain at times. The rest of the country is to see a mixed bag of sun and showers.

Rain in the northeast slowly dying out on Friday. Sunny spells Saturday after a frosty start for some, then further rain moving eastwards on Sunday.
