Scotland fought to a deserved 3-0 win against Ukraine In their latest UEFA Nations League match at Hampden Park.
It was a strong first half from head coach Steve Clarke's side but they had not found a way to goal against their Group 1 opponents in League B, who also eliminated them from the World Cup 2022 qualifying process in the summer. There was a blow to contend with too with in-form right-back Nathan Patterson stretchered off while Che Adams passed up a chance to score alongside Southampton teammate Stuart Armstrong.
Shots on target were few and far between with just three registered between the two sides in the first hour but that soon changed with a barrage of chances, before John McGinn eventually firing home to open the scoring before Lyndon Dykes settled things with a brace. They head into their next match in this section against Republic of Ireland in first and on nine points ahead of taking on Ukraine again away from home next week.
Here is how we rated the players from Scotland's latest encounter.

Craig Gordon - 6
Gordon had next to nothing to do but that's a positive for a Scotland defence who held their opponents at bay.
Nathan Patterson - 4
Patterson was stretchered off early doors in a major blow for him after such a good start to the season. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
Scott McTominay - 7
McTominay helped form part of Scotland's patient possession play. He was composed in midfield and did his defensive work well but found speeding up the tempo more challenging, but still to a decent standard.
Kieran Tierney - 6
Tierney is less involved at left-back than he usually is at centre-back. That said, he was still component and played some good passes down the sides.
John McGinn - 8
McGinn was not really involved in the first half but boy did he come to life in the second, setting the wheels in motion for victory.
Callum McGregor - 8
The Celtic captain was his usual, impressive self. McGregor dropped into defensive areas to start play and did his best to build it up to the final third. An understated yet vital performance as dictated the required standard of performance in order to gain success.
Che Adams - 7
Adams missed a big chance in the first half before being clattered before it ended, missing another few chances in the second. He was unlucky not to score.
Ryan Christie - 6
Christie into attacking areas but the attacking midfielder's decision making was off and he couldn't provide end product.
Jack Hendry - 7
Hendry wasn't tested too much in the first alongside his defensive peers. He had a great sliding tackle at the start of the second and wasn't troubled much thereafter.
Scott McKenna - 7
McKenna completed every pass he made during an otherwise calm opening half. He strolled things in the next 45.
Stuart Armstrong - 6
Armstrong forced a decent save in the first half but then missed a couple of glaring opportunities before being hooked.
Aaron Hickey - 7
A quietly confident display from the youngster who signed for Brentford this summer, going about his business in an assured manner.
Ryan Fraser - 9
Fraser came on, took the corners which Dykes headed into the net, job done.
Lyndon Dykes - 9
Dykes came on, headed Fraser's two corners into the net to seal the game, job done.
Greg Taylor - 3
A late cameo for the Hoops full-back when the game was done and dusted.
Kenny McLean - 3
Same as above for the Norwich midfielder.
