Scotland manager 'praying' Billy Gilmour isn't ruled out of World Cup by knee injury

Steve Clarke has admitted that he is “praying” Scotland midfielder Billy Gilmour has not been ruled out of the World Cup by the knee injury he suffered against Curacao at Hampden this afternoon.

Napoli player Gilmour started the warm-up friendly against the tiny Caribbean nation – but he fell to the turf clutching his right knee shortly before half-time and was replaced by Rangers winger Findlay Curtis after receiving medical attention.
