SCOTLAND international Aaron Hickey is one of the leading teenagers in European football when it comes to game time in the big five leagues.
According to the CIES Football Observatory, the left wing-back has played 1428 minutes for Bologna in Serie A since the turn of the year.
That puts the former Hearts defender eighth on the list when taking into account minutes played by those under 20 across the Italian, English, Spanish, German and French top-flights.
Hickey featured in all but two of Bologna’s 38 league games in the campaign that has just finished, starting 34.
The 19-year-old also made his international bow in March’s friendly draw with Poland before playing in the stalemate with Austria five days later.
Only seven other teenagers have played more football in Europe’s top five since the start of January.
They are: Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund), Pablo Gavi and Pedro Gonzalez (both Barcelona), Castello Lukeba (Lyon), Nuno Mendes (PSG), Yunus Musiala (Valencia) and Destiny Udogie (Udinese).
