Scotland-bound Jet2 flight diverted due to mid-air emergency

A Glasgow-bound Jet2 flight was forced to divert due to a mid-air emergency.

Jet2 says flight LS196 – which was heading to Glasgow Airport – diverted to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport in Hungary due to a passenger requiring medical assistance.

The aircraft originally departed from Dalaman in Turkey on Tuesday, July 16, at around 10.45pm.

It was set to arrive in Glasgow shortly after 1am on Wednesday, July 17, however, it is not known when the flight arrived.

A spokesperson for Jet2.com said: “We can confirm that flight LS196 from Dalaman to Glasgow diverted to Budapest on Tuesday, July 16, due to a customer requiring medical assistance.”
