A Scot has shared "spectacular" photos of an aurora over Loch Lomond.
Angela Fitzpatrick took hundreds of snaps of an "aurora arc", as well as a rare "fogbow". The amateur photographer journeyed to Duck Bay at Loch Lomond on November 3 to capture the beautiful shots. While Angela is an "aurora hunter", the "star of the show" in the shots is the fogbow.
A fogbow is a similar phenomenon to a rainbow, and is in fact often called a 'white rainbow'. It is formed when sunlight interacts with water droplets contained in fog.
