German dance legend Scooter have announced their long-awaited return to Belfast, and they're set to perform by far their biggest ever Irish show in the city this summer as part of Belsonic.
Having performed at Custom House Square in 2021, the happy hardcore hitmakers have now been promoted to playing at South Belfast's Ormeau Park, on June 25 , giving the opportunity for thousands more local fans to see them.
The band themselves need no introduction. In their illustrious history, Scooter have spent more than 500 weeks in the Singles Charts and 300 weeks in the Album Charts, selling more than 30 million units along the way and achieving over 80 Gold and Platinum records from all over the world.
Famed for tracks like like How Much Is the Fish?, Ramp! (The Logical Song), Friends, Endless Summer and dozens of other chart-topping hits, Scooter have become arguably the the most successful techno act of all time.
In 2018, Scooter celebrated their 25th anniversary with a year of shows all over Europe. They played more than 50 sold out dates in front of 250,000 fans and spent the summer at countless festivals including Lollapalooza to Neversea to Budapest Park.
The band are no strangers to Northern Ireland either, having performed everywhere from Belfast clubs to arenas over the years.
Their Belsonic Ormeau Park gig will mark a triumphant return for the techno music act.
Scooter will perform at Ormeau Park on June 25, 2022. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 4, at 10am from Ticketmaster.
