For people living with obsessive-compulsive disorder or a chronic tic disorder, symptoms can look very different. One condition may involve intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors, while the other can cause sudden movements or sounds that are difficult to control.
Yet researchers have now found that the two disorders may share much more of their biology than their symptoms suggest.
