Australia's pace spearhead Megan Schutt has delivered an ominous warning to opponents at the T20 World Cup, saying she's yet to reach the peak of her powers.
No bowler has taken more wickets in the tournament in South Africa than Schutt, who shares top billing with New Zealander Leas Tahuhu with eight victims each.
But after Australia punched a ticket to the semi-finals with a fourth consecutive win - a six-wicket triumph over the Proteas - Schutt says she's not completely satisfied with her form.
"I'm not 100 per cent sold that they're coming out good," Schutt said.
"But I feel like my second overs are coming out well, outside of the power play.
"There's just a few lengths I probably need to work on in the power play ... some days it has been swinging, it has been a little bit inconsistent which is kind of a struggle, you don't know really where to start the ball.
"... The pitches have been not as favourable as I'd thought they would be but at the same time there's been a little bit of juice for some change-ups, which has been good."
The Australians sit atop their group ahead of New Zealand and will next play a semi-final on February 23.
In the other group, unbeaten England are assured of a semi with second-placed India looming as Australia's opponents should further results trend as expected.
The Australians beat India by 44 runs in a warm-up fixture when they bowled the Indians out for just 86 runs.
"It's probably a good thing if we come up against India because we played them not that long ago," Schutt said.
"Both teams know each other inside out and have had some really good competition recently.
"It will be a cracking semi if that's the case. We don't really know who we're playing, it's not locked in just yet, but I think it would be an amazing game."
