Partnering with four schools across Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria, Greenhill Recycling is actively working to address the significant waste problem in the country. The initiative involves collaborating with students to raise awareness and take action towards a cleaner environment.

One student featured in a video created for Call to Earth Day expressed a poignant sentiment about the environmental degradation witnessed over time. The student highlighted how the once pristine skies, crystal-clear streams, and vibrant land have been marred by neglect and lack of care.

Driven by a sense of responsibility and a desire to make a positive impact, 130 students from the participating schools have come together to tackle the issue of waste in their communities. Their collective efforts have resulted in the impressive collection of nearly 170 kilograms (375 pounds) of trash.

Through hands-on participation, the students are gaining firsthand experience in environmental preservation and the tangible impact of their actions.

This collaborative effort between Greenhill Recycling and the schools in Lagos and Abuja serves as a beacon of hope in the fight against waste pollution. It demonstrates the power of community-driven initiatives in creating meaningful change and inspiring future generations to prioritize environmental protection.
