Scots schools have closed today as teachers take further strike action this week in the continuing dispute over pay. Schoolchildren will miss more lessons while members of the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS) union begin 16 days of rolling strike action.
Teachers in two of Scotland's 32 local authority areas will walk out each day until February 6.
All Schools in Glasgow will be closed on Monday and schools in East Lothian will be closed to all pupils apart from those taking preliminary exams that day.
