Schoolgirls have been forced to line up at the start of the day to have the length of their skirts measured, it has been claimed.

Parents said they are furious over the strict "last-minute" rules over uniforms at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy in Edlington, Yorkshire.

Multiple parents alleged their children were ordered to line up at the start of each day to have skirt lengths measured.
