Kidnapping Audi Liverpool Crown Court

A masked gang broke into a woman's house on Christmas Day before attacking her in front of her granddaughter and kidnapping her.

Gary Groves, 55, of Jean Walk, Fazakerley, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, June 23. He is the third person to be jailed for this incident and was found guilty of robbery following a trial last month.

On Christmas Day 2019, Sarah Howitt knocked at the door of a home on Cleveland Close, Kirkby, and pretended to need help. Two masked men, now known to be Gary Groves and Geoffrey Hayes, forced their way into the property and searched for valuable items.
