Schoolboy hit by vehicle on busy road outside Tesco

A schoolboy was hit by a vehicle on a busy road near a Tesco Superstore.

Police received a call just before 3.30pm on Tuesday, April 25 following reports of a crash on Rose Lane in Mossley Hill. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a young boy had been hit by a vehicle.

The boy's age or the extent of his injuries have not yet been confirmed by Merseyside Police.

Emergency services including Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service were called to the scene. The road was partially blocked in both directions, with sensors showing traffic was queuing in the area at the time of the crash.

A cordon which was placed at the scene following the incident was lifted around an hour later.
