The Kentucky State Parole Board voted Monday to deny parole for school shooter Michael Carneal, who killed three fellow classmates at Heath High School on 1 December 1997.
Carneal had testified last week before two members of the board, who could not reach a unanimous decision so postponed the matter until the full board could meet Monday. The board last week also heard from Carneal’s victims and their relatives, who gave powerful testimony; all but one argued for the shooter’s continued imprisonment.
